New build, student development, consisting of 135 multi-bed student units spread over two blocks in Leicester city centre. One block each with frontage on Dover Street and York Street. The hot water design was based around air source heat pumps and central gas fired plant to allow the building to be electrically heated whilst still being compliant with Part L2A.

Underground private services routed between the single plant and the remotely served apartment block were design challenges, but a close working design team has delivered a coordinated solution to this site’s unique challenges.

Duties: Full detail design of M&E services including site inspections, thermal modelling, SBEM and EPC.
