Project: Derby Council House Reconfiguration, Derby

Sector:

Estimated Value: £1.4M

Client: Derby City Council

Reconfiguration of prestigious council offices to enable Derby Library to be relocated into the council offices. Project included the creation of new meeting rooms and major reconfiguration of offices to create new office space for Department of Work and Pensions. The work included very careful alterations to existing central ventilation and cooling plant whilst not upsetting the fine balance through the building. This was particularly challenging because the existing building was mainly open plan, with our work creating more cellularised and segregated space for security and acoustic reasons.

Duties: Full detail design to Stage 4, reviewing contractors site works and witnessing of commissioning.
